Do you spend long hours staring at your phone or computer? Or simply sick of the plain boring Chrysanthemum tea?
Here is a simple easy-to-make recipe you can make at home to start your work or school day! Definitely great to have when you are experiencing eye strain and tiredness from staring at screens for long hours!
Goji berries are often paired with Chrysanthemum because of their similar properties to promote vision, as well as their ability to nourish liver yin. Red dates are added for some additional sweetness as well as to reduce the “coldness” nature of the chrysanthemum flower.
Prep time: 5 to 10 minutes
If you are feeling lazy or running out of time, simply soak the washed ingredients in 2 cups of boiling water for 15 minutes.
If you have sufficient time, follow these simple steps to bring out the flavors of each ingredient:
1. Boil the washed goji berries and jujubes at low heat for 10 min.
2. Then, put in the chrysanthemum flowers to boil for another 5min at high heat. 3. Add some rock sugar for extra sweetness (the jujubes should be sweet enough tho!)
💡Tip: Although both the white and yellow chrysanthemum flowers have similar properties, they do have their own advantages over each other. Choose yellow chrysanthemum if you are looking to disperse wind-heat in your body; Choose white chrysanthemum if you are looking to promote vision by clearing liver heat.
